Q. Why should I buy direct from the manufacturer instead of from my local dealer?

A. Michelin North America, Inc. has always produced premium quality tires that deliver miles and miles of driving pleasure. Now we're also making it easy for you to purchase online.

To make it fast and easy, follow these 3 simple steps: (1) Find your right tire (2) choose your Service Provider for installation then (3) schedule your appointment, and pay online.

For your peace of mind, your tires will be installed by the Service Provider of your choice. No surprises or hidden fees when you arrive at your appointment. Simply show up at their location to complete the mounting & balance (installation) at a time that fits your schedule.

As part of our great service, your tires will be shipped Free of Charge to your Service Provider. You'll also receive Lifetime Rotation and Balancing on select products.

Q. How do I find the right tires for my vehicle?

A. Use our simple on-line Tire Selector process to find the perfect tires that will offer the best driving experience for your preferred driving style.

Q. What types of payment are accepted?

A. We accept the following types of payment: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

 

Q. Will my credit card be charged upon order, or when my tires are shipped or installed?

A. Your credit card will be charged when the tires are shipped to the Service Provider you selected.

 

Q. What happens if I cancel my online order?

A. If the order is cancelled after the tires leave our warehouse, you will see both a charge and corresponding credit on your credit card statement. Prior to installation, you will receive a full refund on your purchase.

Q. Please explain all of the costs and fees I will be charged when I purchase online.

A. The amount you pay online includes the price per tire, standard installation, local sales tax, and a tire disposal fee.  Additional fees may apply for vehicles with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems.

 

Q. Why am I being charged an installation fee?

A. In order to ensure that you receive the best performance from your tires, they should be professionally installed. This installation fee covers mounting and   balancing at your Service Provider. 

 

Q. What does the standard installation fee include?  Will I be hit for other charges once I get to the dealer's location?

A. The per tire installation fee covers mounting and balancing at your chosen Service Provider. This fee also may include lifetime rotations and balancing for your tires. No additional fees will be billed unless you make an additional service request from the Service Provider.

Q. Will I be charged additional fees once I get to the dealership for installation?

A. Installation prices on the website cover most vehicles with standard equipment. Customized vehicles or pre-existing vehicle conditions may result in additional installation fees at the point of installation.  Any additional services requested by you will also be billed by the Service Provider. For example, many Service Providers offer oil changes, and this may be something you choose to do at the same time of your installation. In this instance, the cost of the oil change will be charged separately.

Q. Can I call the dealer to make an appointment instead of doing it online?

A. Appointments are only scheduled online for your ease.  You will also receive email confirmations or reschedule requests.

Q. What are Service Providers?

A. Our Service Providers are tire retailers that have met our required standards in order to provide the best possible service for your Ecommerce tire purchase.  Our Providers are also part of our Authorized Dealer Network, so they will be able to take care of your warranty, replacement, or maintenance needs.

 

Q. How are Service Providers selected?

A.  Our Service Providers have to meet a series of standards in order to participate in our online program.  We are here to help answer any questions you have about them. 

 

Q. What are my options if the Service Provider is too far away?

A. We continue to increase the number of Service Providers weekly, and hope that you'll find an acceptable Service Provider close to you.  If  you would rather purchase your tires in-store, we can help you find a local dealer as well. Simply call us at 866-706-1141.

Q. Can I ship tires to my home or place of business?

A. Currently our on-line purchasing experience only ships tires to our Service Provider network. We have a large network of professional Service Providers who will install your tires.  You can select your preferred Service Provider during the checkout process.  A standard installation fee will be charged for each tire purchased.

 

Q. Why can't I ship my tires to my preferred dealer?

A. We take great care and great pride in recommending our networks of Service Providers. Tires can only be shipped to certain dealers that have signed a service provider agreement with Michelin North America, Inc. to install tires purchased online.  We are expanding our service area each day. If you do not see your preferred dealer, check back with us often, or let us know at support@shop.michelinman.com .

Q. I don't see my dealer on your Installer list. Why can't I ship the tires to my closest dealer?

A. Tires can only be shipped to certain dealers that have signed a service agreement with Michelin North America, Inc. to install tires purchased on-line. We hope you will find an acceptable dealer in your area from the current listing.

 

Q. Why can't I ship my tires to my home and install myself?

A. Tires purchased online require professional installation.  A standard installation fee will be charged for each tire purchased, and you can choose your Service Provider during checkout.

 

Q. Why can't I have my tires installed the same day as purchased?

A. Tires often must be shipped from one of our warehouses to your preferred Service Provider, which requires a few days for shipping and handling. 

Q. Who do I contact with questions about my tire warranty?

Q. How can I purchase Road Hazard Insurance?

A. Many of our authorized dealers do offer road hazard insurance. Please feel free to interact with your Service Provider to understand the details and make an informed decision.

 

Q. What if I need other dealership services?  Can I add them to my online order?

A. Additional dealer services must be purchased directly from your Service Provide.  We recommend that you contact them directly to confirm that they can address your additional needs at the same time you are having your tires installed.
